Neurodivergent Parents Group

Our Neurodivergent parents group is for neurodivergent parents and run by neurodivergent parents. In collaboration with Autism and ADHD we are launching our group to support parents who are or suspect they are neurodivergent through pregnancy and to age 2.

This group is supported by volunteers who are neurodivergent and have experienced parenthood themselves so know first hand what it is like to be pregnant and dealing with the early days of life while being neurodivergent.

We understand that for some people accessing a group can be challenging so we hope this offering reaches out to parents who might be struggling to access support elsewhere.

This session is for all families not only those who breastfeed and will be able to cover peer to peer parenting support, infant feeding support and babywearing

Meet the team

We have a team of 5 running our neurodivergent parenting group, all are or identify as neurodivergent and are parents.

They have training covering topics from Infant feeding, breastfeeding and babywearing as well as lived experience of parenting while being ND. Several also parent ND children.

They aim to provide a safe and supportive space for families to feel comfortable to be themselves in

Kaya, Florence, Ruth, Hazel and Hollie (trainee) make up our ND parenting team.

What happens at a group?

Our groups are relaxed and a space for supporting families. You can sit and talk within the group or if you want to ask a team member to sit to the side and talk in a smaller group. You don't need to have questions or a need for anything other than joining the session.

Drinks available for free and small toys for your children to play with. This group is open for parents who are pregnant to age 2. No diagnosis is needed and we are open to all Neurodivergent parents.
